Tranmere story
Heysham-born midfielder David Perkins began his senior career with Morecambe and later represented Rochdale, Colchester United, Barnsley, Blackpool and Wigan Athletic. His long Football League career also included loan spells with Chesterfield and Stockport County.
Perkins joined Tranmere Rovers from Rochdale in January 2019. After leaving Prenton Park in 2020, he continued in non-league football with AFC Fylde and Bamber Bridge before moving into coaching.
